What is Yeehaw Yacht Club?

Yeehaw Yacht Club is a pink-themed pontoon charter. We’re your “Broadway on the water” experience: enjoy a lively atmosphere in waist-deep water. There’s music, games, mingling and more on Old Hickory Lake’s party cove — Two Foot.

Is this a boat rental?

Kinda — it is a boat rental that comes with a captain.

Yeehaw Yacht Club operates as a captained charter on Old Hickory Lake. All trips include a USCG-certified captain. This structure ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while providing a safe, professionally operated experience.

What does a charter include?

Each Yeehaw Yacht Charter includes:

  • A USCG-certified captain

  • A Godfrey Sweetwater pink glitter pontoon

  • Fuel for the chartered time

  • 2 coolers + ice

  • Required U.S. Coast Guard safety equipment, including life jackets

  • Use of onboard sound system

  • Guest can bring alcohol and snacks (please follow all guidelines listed at booking)

Most trips head to Two Foot Cove, a shallow-water sandbar where people anchor and hang.

How many people are on each charter?

Most charters are for private groups with up to 6 paying guests. Per federal regulations (Old Hickory is considered federal water), a chartered boat must be operated by a U.S.C.G-certified captain.

If there is interest, we may look into doing public tours.

Where do charters depart?

Guests will arrive at Sanders Ferry Park and pickup will begin 15-30 mins prior to departure. There is parking and restrooms available at the park. There will not be a restroom on the boat.

How long are charters and how much do they cost?

Charters last anywhere from 1-5 hours and start at $350.

Are children allowed?

Children are not allowed and you must be 21 years or older to come abroad.

There are limited situations where 18-year-old guests will be allowed and those limitations will include no alcohol.

What happens in the event of bad weather?

Weather conditions will be assessed at least one hour prior to your scheduled charter. The guest who booked the trip will be notified if any changes are necessary. This assessment includes storms, lightning, and heavy wind conditions.

If weather is deemed safe but not ideal (such as overcast skies or light rain), the charter will proceed as planned and our standard cancellation policy will apply.

Departures may be delayed up to 30 minutes to allow conditions to improve. The captain makes the final decision regarding safety at all times. Weather or wind conditions may require changes to destinations or anchoring locations, including alternatives to Two Foot Cove, if deemed safer.

Can a cruise be cancelled?

Cancellations made more than 30 days before your scheduled trip will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 14–30 days prior to departure will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before departure are non-refundable.

For added flexibility, optional Trip Protection is available for 10% of your charter fee. With Trip Protection, you may cancel up to 48 hours before departure and receive a full refund, minus the cost of protection. Cancellations made within 48 hours of departure with Trip Protection will receive a 50% refund, minus the protection cost.

All merchandise and decoration fees are final sale and non-refundable.
